Position Summary

We are seeking a driven, hands-on Sales Manager to lead, develop, and scale a team of insurance producers in a fast-paced, growth-focused agency. This role is responsible for owning revenue results, building a performance-driven culture, and executing a repeatable sales system that delivers consistent month-over-month growth.

This is not a passive, sit-back-and-manage role. You will be on the front linescoaching daily, inspecting activity, and driving executionwhile building a team capable of exceeding aggressive targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Performance

  • Own team production goals (monthly, quarterly, and annual premium targets)
  • Drive daily sales activity metrics: calls, quotes, binds, and close ratios
  • Monitor pipeline health, conversion rates, and speed-to-close
  • Hold producers accountable through structured daily and weekly check-ins

Coaching & Development

  • Lead daily huddles and weekly 1:1 coaching sessions
  • Provide real-time call coaching and role-play training
  • Identify performance gaps and implement measurable improvement plans
  • Onboard and train new producers using a defined, proven sales process

Systems & Process Execution

  • Enforce CRM usage and pipeline management (AgencyZoom or similar)
  • Track KPIs and maintain a weekly sales scorecard
  • Optimize sales scripts, objection handling, and follow-up workflows
  • Partner with agency leadership to refine and scale sales systems

Recruiting & Team Growth

  • Assist with interviewing and hiring high-caliber sales producers
  • Build and maintain a strong talent bench to support growth goals
  • Develop a competitive, high-performance sales culture

Key Metrics for Success

  • Team premium production
  • Quote-to-bind and close ratios
  • Activity levels (calls, quotes, follow-ups)
  • Pipeline volume and efficiency
  • Producer ramp time and retention

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience (insurance experience preferred)
  • Proven history of hitting or exceeding aggressive sales targets
  • Strong coaching, accountability, and performance management skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting
  • High level of organization, urgency, and execution
  • Active insurance license (or willingness to obtain quickly)
