Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering high-end residential construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Construction and play a key role in driving project performance, team accountability, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of residential construction projects, including preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, and closeout
  • Oversee multiple projects at once, maintaining full control of schedule, cost, and quality
  • Lead project teams including Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes to ensure complete understanding and execution of the work
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules and budgets
  • Identify risks early and proactively implement solutions to avoid delays or cost overruns
  • Manage subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and performance
  • Ensure all materials are procured on time and aligned with project schedule requirements
  • Review and approve change orders, pay applications, and cost reports
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, consultants, and internal leadership
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company standards, safety requirements, and contract documents
  • Mentor and develop junior team members to improve overall team performance
  • Drive accountability across all project stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in residential construction project management (luxury/custom homes preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-end residential projects simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of organization and accountability
