Core Responsibilities
- Security Program Management: Develop, implement, and continuously refine Rivani's comprehensive safety and loss prevention program, including physical security protocols, access control, and surveillance systems. Oversee daily operations of all security functions including CCTV monitoring, access management, visitor screening, and patrol protocols.
- Infrastructure & Systems Oversight: Manage and maintain all physical security infrastructure - ensuring surveillance systems, access control platforms, and safety equipment are fully operational and regularly audited. Conduct regular security assessments and risk evaluations, recommending and implementing improvements proactively.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise the security team, ensuring consistent execution of Rivani's safety standards across all shifts. Build a team culture that is professional, discreet, and service-oriented - security staff should feel like a natural extension of the hospitality team.
- Training & Performance Management: Develop and deliver ongoing training programs covering emergency response, de-escalation, member interaction, and security protocol. Maintain detailed performance documentation and conduct regular evaluations of all security personnel.
- Incident Management & Investigation: Serve as the primary responder for all security incidents, conducting thorough investigations and preparing comprehensive written reports. Manage emergency response coordination including fire, medical, and evacuation procedures in alignment with building protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Law Enforcement & Agency Liaison: Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant regulatory agencies as needed. Maintain meticulous incident logs, investigation files, and compliance documentation always.
- Loss Prevention & Risk Mitigation: Identify vulnerabilities in building operations, systems, or procedures and develop strategies to eliminate or reduce risk. Oversee access credential management, visitor verification, and after-hours security protocols. Collaborate with the GM and operations team on business continuity planning and emergency preparedness.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety regulations, Florida building codes, OSHA standards, and Rivani's internal policies. Ensure all documentation, training records, and incident files meet regulatory requirements.
- Tenant & Staff Relations: Operate with the discretion, composure, and professionalism befitting an ultra-luxury environment - tenants should feel safe, never surveilled. Build trusted relationships with front-of-house and facilities teams to ensure a unified, coordinated safety posture. Address tenant or staff safety concerns with urgency, empathy, and decisive follow-through.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in security management, loss prevention, law enforcement, or a closely related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Experience in luxury hospitality, Class A/Class X commercial real estate, or a high-profile private environment strongly preferred
- Current Florida Class D Security License required; Class G preferred - or demonstrated ability to obtain prior to start
- Deep knowledge of physical security systems, CCTV platforms, and access control technology
- Proven investigative skills with experience preparing formal incident reports and managing law enforcement coordination
- Strong emergency management credentials - CPR/AED certification preferred, experience with OSHA compliance and emergency preparedness planning
- Exceptional judgment and the ability to de-escalate sensitive situations with calm authority
- Impeccable professional integrity - discretion and confidentiality are non-negotiable in this role
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred given Rivani's member community and BBM workforce
