Role Summary

The Senior Industrial Engineer focuses on optimizing manufacturing operations through factory automation, control systems, and software development. The role supports production efficiency, workflow optimization, reporting, and continuous improvement in a high-technology manufacturing environment. This position works closely with fab teams to support automation, cost reduction, and scalable production systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve manufacturing workflows to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Support factory layout planning, time studies, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and simulation methodologies.
  • Design, write, and maintain small factory application software for production environments.
  • Implement and sustain factory control systems, including production flow, automation, material tracking, and equipment metrics.
  • Maintain documentation for cost models, equipment specifications, and process changes.
  • Support new product introduction, capital planning, cost savings initiatives, and automation projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to sustain a continuous improvement culture.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in factory automation or manufacturing support.
  • Experience developing fab or manufacturing application software.
  • Strong knowledge of SEMI standards and semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with MES systems, material management platforms, and statistical process controls.
  • Experience with SECS/GEM, SEMI E10 standards, Power BI, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cost modeling, production planning, and data analysis.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience in complex manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities.
