Job Overview
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects. This position plays a key role in securing new projects and supporting project planning and execution.

The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects. This role requires analyzing project specifications, evaluating labor and material costs, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure estimates align with company standards and client requirements.
This position plays a key role in securing new projects and supporting project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects (materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors).
- Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents to determine scope.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals.
- Research and source materials/equipment for accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors.
- Track market trends, labor rates, and material costs.
- Identify costsaving opportunities and risk factors.
- Maintain historical cost data for future reference.
- Attend prebid meetings and conduct site visits as needed.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic/testing equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety protocols.
- Competent in reading blueprints and technical documentation.
- Effective communication (verbal and written) in English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Safetyconscious, dependable, and professional.
- High School Diploma/GED required; electrical schooling preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in the electrical field preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Electrical Apprentice License (upon hire) for state of work.
- Must provide own basic hand tools.
- Clean and safe driving record.
- Competent documentation skills.
- Able to work in both commercial and industrial environments.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to changing job conditions.
