Position Summary
We're seeking is seeking a highly skilled Certified Marine Technician to join our service team in West Palm Beach / Riviera Beach, Florida. This is a 100% on-site position and certification is REQUIRED.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience servicing and repairing outboard boat motors and holds current certifications with Yamaha, Suzuki, and/or Mercury. This role is not suited for candidates with automotive, PWC/jet ski, or non-outboard backgrounds.
We are looking for a true marine professional who can diagnose, repair, and maintain outboard engines to manufacturer standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair outboard boat motors in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Perform maintenance and repairs on Yamaha, Suzuki, and/or Mercury outboard engines
- Conduct engine diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance testing
- Complete rigging, repowers, and engine installations as needed
- Perform routine services including oil changes, lower unit service, cooling systems, and fuel systems
- Accurately document all work performed, parts used, and labor hours
- Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair timelines and findings
- Ensure all work meets Boathouse Marine quality standards and manufacturer requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Stay current on manufacturer updates, service bulletins, and certification requirements
- Current Outboard Motor certification with Yamaha, Suzuki, and/or Mercury
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on marine technician experience
- Proven experience working specifically on outboard-powered boats
- Ability to independently diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Strong understanding of marine systems (fuel, cooling, electrical, steering, and rigging)
- Ability to work on-site in West Palm Beach / Riviera Beach, FL (no relocation offered)
- Valid driver's license
- Multiple manufacturer certifications (Yamaha + Suzuki + Mercury)
- Experience with engine repowers and advanced diagnostics
- Familiarity with dealer service software and warranty claim processing
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
