- Ideal for experienced field sales or sales and marketing professionals who enjoy customer interaction.
- Suitable for less experienced sales or project managers with client management experience seeking to grow in field sales.
- Conduct 5–7 in-home appointments daily.
- Assess needs, take accurate measurements, demonstrate products, provide technical input, and close sales for exterior screens and awnings.
- Experience in selling screens & awnings, garage doors, flooring, or similar products is advantageous due to the consultative, relationship-driven nature of the role.
- Travel to scheduled customer home appointments across Greater Ocala and Central Florida.
- Conduct professional, consultative in-home presentations addressing needs for shade, privacy, bug control, and weather protection.
- Take precise measurements for screens and awnings on outdoor structures using detailed assessment comparable to garage doors or windows.
- Assess site conditions including structure, mounting surfaces, clearances, and electrical access to ensure product feasibility and installation suitability.
- Present product options including screens, fabrics, frame colors, motors, controls, and accessories with clear explanations of features and benefits.
- Prepare and present written proposals/quotes detailing scope, pricing, and timelines; secure signed agreements and deposits during or soon after appointments.
- Build and maintain strong homeowner and referral partner relationships, similar to territory and key account B2C sales.
- Document measurements, photos, and project details in CRM and estimating platforms for seamless transition to operations and installation.
- Follow up with leads, past customers, and referral sources to maximize close rates, upsells, and repeat business.
- Minimum 5 years successful outside sales or territory management in construction, building products, home improvement, industrial supply, or related fields (e.g., garage doors, pools, screening, inspection services).
- Field experience with site condition assessments, residential structures, and use of basic tools (tape measure, level, laser).
- Proven ability to build key accounts and nurture customer relationships.
- Strong consultative sales skills including active listening, need identification, presenting options, and confidently closing sales.
- High professionalism and ownership mindset; able to work independently, plan daily activities, and accept accountability for results.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel daily within Clermont to Gainesville region.
- Comfortable using smartphones/tablets and basic software such as email, calendar, CRM, and quoting tools.
- Experience selling or managing products related to building envelopes or outdoor living (garage doors, screens, awnings, enclosures, windows/doors).
- Exposure to motorized systems, low voltage, or smart home components (training provided).
- Regular effective communication in person and via phone.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for operating devices, tools, samples, or product materials.
- Occasional standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, and climbing during site visits and measurements.
- Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus for reviewing measurements and site conditions.
- Possible exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor assessments.
- Typical work environment noise levels are low to moderate.
- Primarily field-based work with daily travel to customer homes and job sites.
- Possible exposure to outdoor environments, uneven terrain, variable weather, and active construction or installation sites.
- Office or administrative tasks may be performed remotely or at company locations based on business needs.
- Must navigate and assess outdoor living spaces safely and professionally under varying physical conditions.
