The operator is responsible for interpreting project plans and specifications to execute drilling operations that meet project requirements. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operates various equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers and or directional bore machines for the installation or maintenance of underground utilities, and other duties as directed by foreman.
- Operators are expected to embrace H&M's safety culture including safe operation of equipment, appropriate PPE and participating in daily and weekly safety talks.
- Operators will be directed in placing or maintaining underground utilities. This could include but not limited to digging around existing utilities, placing conduit, placing handholes, placing manholes, backfilling & compacting.
- Operators will be responsible for daily maintenance of equipment such as and maintaining fluids, greasing equipment as required and other routine maintenance as necessary.
- Operators are required to be familiar with OSHA Regulations regarding trench safety.
- Minimum of two years experience with construction, excavation, and related heavy equipment operation preferred.
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator license with a CDL A license.
- Tanker endorsement preference.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing
