Position Summary

We're seeking a highly experienced, results-driven Marine Sales Manager specifically focused in selling Outboard Mercury, Suzuki, and Yamaha Motors to join our team at our Riviera Beach, FL (near West Palm Beach) location. This is an on-site role, and no relocation assistance is offered.

This position is ideal for a true hunter with a proven background in marine sales who thrives on closing deals, generating new business, and maximizing commission opportunities. The Sales Manager will handle both outbound prospecting leads and inbound leads, earning commission on both, while leveraging deep product knowledge of outboard boats and motors, including Mercury, Suzuki, and Yamaha.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Sell new outboard Mercury, Suzuki, and Yamaha motors
  • Actively pursue new business through outbound prospecting, follow-ups, and relationship-building (hunter mentality required)
  • Manage and close inbound leads while aggressively converting opportunities into sales
  • Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of Mercury, Suzuki, and Yamaha Outboard Motors, including proper applications, horsepower ranges, rigging considerations, and performance, clearly explaining performance, applications, and value
  • Build and maintain a strong personal pipeline to consistently exceed sales targets
  • Prepare pricing, quotes, and purchase agreements accurately and efficiently
  • Work closely with service and parts departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Follow up post-sale to drive repeat business, referrals, and long-term customer relationships
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of all sales activity, leads, and customer interactions
  • Stay current on marine industry trends, product updates, and manufacturer incentives
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and gross profit goals

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of outboard-powered boats and outboard boat motors
  • Proven track record as a hunter with consistent commission-based sales success
  • Comfortable working both outbound leads and inbound leads with commission tied to performance
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and closing skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Riviera Beach / West Palm Beach, FL (no relocation offered)
  • Established local marine industry network or customer base

Education & Experience

  • Experience or understanding of marine financing, warranties, and accessory sales
  • CRM or marine dealership management software experience
  • Boating or manufacturer certifications or formal marine training
  • Minimum of 3 years of marine outboard motor sales experience specifically with Mercury, Suzuki, or Yamaha
  • Demonstrated experience selling Yamaha, Suzuki, and Mercury outboard boat motors
