Position Summary

The Installation Manager is responsible for both physically installing kitchen equipment as well as overseeing and coordinating foodservice equipment installation projects from initiation to completion. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Installation Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, supply chain, and product management, to meet client expectations and manage project risks.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Personally handle equipment installations from uncrate set in place, to final connections to start up
    • Uncrate and set in place kitchen equipment.
    • Perform basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing work to support final connections of equipment.
    • Perform factory start up of kitchen equipment in accordance with factory training.
    • Become factory certified for key pieces of equipment.
    • Basic support for setting mill work, and stainless steel in place with assembly.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee multiple foodservice equipment projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure that installation projects are completed without issue and provide the first line of response to support any issues that arise
  • Oversee subcontractors who are performing installation work on behalf of the company.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Provide support for warranty issues as a representative of the company to collaborate with the restaurant and the manufacturer.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong, hands-on technical skills as it pertains to commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment manufacturers and brands is highly encouraged.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
  • Hands on technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mill work and stainless steel are preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Education & Experience

  • 2-5+ years experience in commercial kitchen equipment service, repair and/or installation.
  • Experience installing and/or repairing kitchen equipment.
