Position Summary
The Global HR Specialist is responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle for Employer of Record (EOR) clients and employees across multiple countries. This includes onboarding, responding to employment-related inquiries, managing compliance, and handling offboarding processes. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams, clients, and partners to ensure seamless HR operations and compliance with local, national, and international employment laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage full employee lifecycle including onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding for EOR employees in assigned countries.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and employees via assigned ticketing system; participate in meetings and manage escalations.
- Monitor and integrate local employment law updates; ensure adherence to global HR compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity
- Prepare employment contracts, addendums, new hire guidelines, and other HR documents/policies ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Revise and apply company policies to align with local regulations and best practices.
- Guide clients and internal teams on statutory leave requirements and country-specific practices.
- Manage voluntary terminations and support involuntary terminations in collaboration with local counsel (if required).
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance HR operations and service delivery.
- Work closely with Partners, ICPs, account managers, payroll teams, and legal team to ensure integrated operations.
- Coordinate immigration processes (work permits, visas) with vendors and counsel.
- Any other HR related tasks and projects.
Marginal Functions
- Participate in cross-functional projects impacting global HR processes or EOR service delivery
- Support HR technology implementations or upgrades, including testing, feedback, and training for global users
- Represent HR in client meetings or discussions, sharing insights on compliance and workforce matters
- Conduct research and benchmarking on global HR practices, compensation trends, and labor market conditions
- Assist with onboarding and mentoring new HR team members supporting EOR operations
- Complete special projects or assignments as directed by leadership to meet evolving business needs
- Provide consultative services to clients on specialist countries
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of global HR practices and employment law compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with cultural sensitivity.
- Familiarity with GDPR and international labor standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Must be fluent in German
- HR Certification preferred.
- 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a global or EOR environment.
- Familiarity with international employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with clients and managing escalations.
Licenses and/or Certifications
- HR Certification or degree preferred.
