Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with aerial and underground construction for fiber, telecom, and general utility projects (power, broadband, and infrastructure).
- Support completion of aerial fiberoptic construction using proper tools and materials.
- Operate and work around construction equipment such as bucket trucks, utility trucks, digger derricks, and other field vehicles.
- Use ladders, hand tools, and power tools to support daily tasks.
- Assist crew members with setting poles, handling material, and preparing job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Complete daily paperwork and documentation of work performed.
- Follow all safety procedures and support the crew in safe work execution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while taking direction from crew leaders.
- Ability to read and interpret construction prints.
- Ability to climb poles (training provided if needed).
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of preemployment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle record check.
- Ability to work safely with or without supervision.
- Ability to work standing, at shoulder height, and overhead for extended periods.
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and equipment properly.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate equipment such as aerial lift devices, lashers, and other construction tools.
- Experience or familiarity with telecom/utility construction equipment such as aerial lifts, dozers, lashers, meters, plows, etc.
- Valid CDL (required).
- Familiarity with lineman tools, equipment, and basic utility construction practices.
