🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

As Head of Engineering (hands on!), you'll own the technical strategy and execution of the entire MOTORMIA platform. You’ll lead the engineering team, build world-class infrastructure, and partner with Product, Design, and Marketing to ship meaningful, delightful experiences.

✅ Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow the engineering team building Mia, our AI agent
• Architect and scale our e-commerce and recommendation engine
• Own the full engineering lifecycle—from concept to launch to post-release optimization
• Ensure best-in-class practices (CI/CD, testing, performance tuning, infrastructure)
• Manage DevOps and backend systems to support a growing platform
• Collaborate across teams to ship high-impact MVPs
• Set technical direction and roadmap in partnership with company leadership
• Champion a strong engineering culture—hiring, mentorship, velocity

🎯 What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years of hands-on engineering experience, with 3+ years leading teams
• Proven track record scaling consumer-facing products (ideally e-commerce or marketplaces)
• Experience with backend frameworks like Node.js, Python, and frontend stacks like React, Next.js
• Familiarity with AWS and scalable cloud architecture
• Bonus: AI/ML experience (recommendation engines, search, personalization)
• Bonus: Love for cars and automotive culture—our users are enthusiasts, and it helps if you are too
