Loop Returns

Loop Returns

Software Engineering
Columbus, OH, USA
Posted on Oct 8, 2024
Hello from Loop! We’re a fast-growing company that is revolutionizing the post-purchase experience. We've taken one of the most fragile commerce interactions - returns - and turned it into something consumers actually love, and that deepens our connection to brands and products.
The Engineering Team at Loop is a balance of agility, consistency, and performance. These are the pillars that allow the team to constantly and consistently deliver value that matters to customers. We’re looking for Software Engineer Interns to participate in our internship program starting Summer 2025. This is a full-time position from May to August.
As an intern at Loop, you will work closely with our Engineering team to learn about our product, merchants, and engineering best practices in an exciting and innovative environment.
At Loop, we believe that flexibility and choice are what allow you to do your best work. With our Blended Working Environment, you have options ranging from joining our HQ office (in Columbus, Ohio), opting into a Hub (a location with 4+ team members), or staying totally secluded (our version of remote). Our team is spread across the United States, select provinces in Canada (Ontario & British Columbia), and the United Kingdom.
For our Software Engineer Internship opportunity, we would love for our interns to be located in Columbus and have the ability to go into our office a couple of times a week to enhance their internship experience and create in-person connections with other interns and those at Loop.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work through all stages of the software engineering lifecycle, from design to launch to maintenance
  • Practice test-driven development and learn best practices to build software that’s resilient, scales, and can be maintained long-term
  • Develop an understanding of our product, the e-commerce industry, and B2B SaaS
  • Learn how to deploy applications that can quickly and safely deliver updates to customers without interrupting their business
  • Gain real world debugging skills in complex systems, with the support of experienced engineers

Your Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical major
  • You are technically savvy and enjoy leveraging technical tools and techniques to answer questions
  • Highly organized self-starter who knows how to ask for help when stuck
  • You’re eager to ramp your general business, engineering, product knowledge
  • You’re intellectually curious and are always on the lookout for opportunities to learn something new
  • Bonus points if you have a side project you’re working on by yourself, with a friend, or with a student club
