We are seeking a results-driven App Store Optimization (ASO) Specialist to drive the discoverability and performance of our games across app stores. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of app store algorithms, keyword research, A/B testing and proven experience consistently raising CVR on the App Stores. You’ll collaborate with product, marketing, UA, and analytics teams to drive organic growth, install conversion rate and ensure MobilityWare’s games stand out in competitive app store environments. You will own the entire ASO discipline from the creative process, to running all tests, coordinating store changes, and especially reporting performance results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • App Store Strategy: Develop and execute ASO strategies to improve rankings, visibility, conversion and downloads across the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for multiple game titles
  • Keyword Research & Optimization: Conduct ongoing keyword research to identify high-impact terms and integrate them into metadata, descriptions, and titles.
  • Creative Optimization: Partner with designers and marketing teams to create compelling app icons, screenshots, preview videos, and feature graphics that enhance click-through rates (CTR).
  • A/B Testing: Plan and execute A/B tests to evaluate the performance of app store assets, including creatives, descriptions, and calls-to-action on both CSLs and CPPs (Custom Store Listings/Android and Custom Product Pages/iOS)
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze app performance metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve rankings and conversion rates.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive research to benchmark MobilityWare’s games against industry leaders and identify opportunities for improvement. Present this information and findings regularly to stakeholders.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and changes in app store algorithms to continuously improve ASO strategies.
  • Localization: Optimize app store listings for international markets, ensuring they resonate with local audiences, and evangelize this need with Product teams and other internal cross-functional leaders.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with marketing, user acquisition, and product teams to align ASO efforts with broader performance marketing and product goals. Collaborate with the product team to provide insights and recommendations for improving user experience and retention.

Qualifications for Position:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in ASO, creative optimization, digital marketing, or a related field, preferably within the mobile gaming industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and make data-driven decisions using tools like App Annie/Data.ai, Sensor Tower, or similar platforms.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in app store algorithms, ranking factors, and metadata optimization on both Custom Product Pages/Custom Store Listings.
  • Tools: Familiarity with ASO and analytics tools (e.g. Google Play Console, App Store Connect, and external tools such as SplitMetrics, StoreMaven, GeekLab, etc).
  • Self-motivated - This is an individual contributor role with a strong requirement to set strategy and drive the discipline of ASO for MobilityWare. This person must thrive on stepping up and being proactive, rather than waiting or questioning a boss and then simply executing someone else's ideas. You must be the subject matter expert and single voice for ASO on the key flagship titles for MobilityWare.
  • Passion: A love for gaming and a keen interest in the mobile gaming industry.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills, with the ability to present findings and strategies to stakeholders.
  • Creative Sensibility: Experience working with design teams to produce engaging visual assets tailored for app stores including icons, screenshots, app preview videos, and feature graphics.
  • Multitasking Mindset: Proven ability to manage multiple games and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment requiring frequent updates to prioritization without compromising quality.
