We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Virtual Pulmonologist to provide remote medical consultation and expertise in the field of pulmonary medicine. As a Virtual Pulmonologist, you will diagnose, treat, and guide the management of respiratory conditions through telemedicine, offering patients the convenience of accessing specialized care from their own homes.

About the gig

  • Conduct virtual consultations with patients seeking diagnosis, treatment, and management of various respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, and more.
  • Review patients' medical histories, interpret diagnostic reports (spirometry, pulmonary function tests), and conduct comprehensive assessments through video calls.
  • Develop personalized and evidence-based treatment plans, taking into account individual patient factors, medical history, and disease severity.
  • Prescribe medications, inhalers, nebulizers, and other necessary treatments for effective respiratory condition management.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies, promoting understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate virtually with other healthcare professionals, such as primary care physicians and cardiologists to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in pulmonology research and telemedicine practices to deliver cutting-edge virtual care.
  • Participate in virtual medical conferences, webinars, and scholarly activities to contribute to the knowledge base in the field.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic medical records, adhering to all privacy and regulatory guidelines.

About you

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary Medicine.
  • Active medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine.
  • Proficiency in telemedicine platforms and virtual communication tools.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to formulate effective treatment plans remotely.
  • Excellent virtual communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information in an understandable manner.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and a patient's right to privacy in a virtual setting.
  • Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in pulmonology.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a virtual environment.
