Tools & Pipeline

Our 3D pipeline includes internal tools, scripts, and automation that handle tasks such as asset validation, scene preparation, and rendering. Artists are expected to work within these systems and follow the technical standards they enforce, allowing the team to produce consistent results at scale.

You don’t need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable working in a tool-driven production environment where parts of the workflow are automated and governed by defined rules.

Team & Support Structure

This role is part of a collaborative, well-supported 3D team. The 3D Artist works closely with a 3D Lead, who provides regular reviews, technical guidance, and feedback on models and materials to ensure consistency and quality.

A manager supports task planning, priorities, and timelines so the artist always has clear direction and realistic expectations. Structured onboarding is provided, including documented guidelines, reference scenes, and established model and material libraries, so new team members can ramp up quickly and confidently within the pipeline.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain production-ready 3D models using 3ds Max
  • Render assets using V-Ray, following defined lighting and render standards
  • Reuse and adapt existing model and material libraries whenever possible to maintain consistency and efficiency
  • Model new products at a high level of accuracy from:
    • Technical drawings
    • Product specifications and reference imagery
  • Create high-quality, physically accurate materials when new materials are required
  • Apply materials using existing libraries before creating new ones
  • Ensure assets follow established standards for:
    • Scene structure
    • Naming conventions
    • Scale, pivots, and hierarchy
  • Prepare assets for production and automated rendering workflows
  • Perform self-QA to ensure assets meet quality and technical requirements before submission

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3ds Max (required)
  • V-Ray rendering experience (required)
  • 2–5+ years of professional 3D modeling experience
  • Experience with product visualization, preferably furniture or home goods
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Clean, optimized topology
    • Modular and reusable modeling practices
    • UV mapping and texture workflows
    • Physically based materials and lighting
  • Ability to accurately interpret drawings, specs, and technical documentation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and consistency
  • Proven ability to follow and maintain structured production workflows

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience working with large asset libraries
  • Familiarity with batch or automated rendering pipelines
  • Experience supporting new product launches
  • Understanding of real-world materials and manufacturing constraints
  • Experience collaborating with technical, operations, or pipeline teams

What This Role Is (and Is Not)

This role is:

  • Production-focused and process-driven
  • Built around accuracy, consistency, and scale
  • A mix of asset reuse and high-quality new asset creation

This role is not:

  • Concept or exploratory modeling
  • One-off scene creation
  • Loose or unstructured artistic workflows

What Success Looks Like

  • Assets integrate seamlessly into existing libraries and pipelines
  • Minimal revisions due to strong upfront accuracy
  • Efficient reuse of models and materials where applicable
  • High-quality models and materials delivered for new product launches
  • Consistent, predictable outputs that support downstream teams

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled 3D Artist to support our in-house product visualization pipeline. This role requires a strong balance of technical precision, attention to detail, and production discipline, with the ability to work efficiently within an established workflow while contributing high-quality assets for new product launches.

The ideal candidate is comfortable following structured processes, reusing existing assets intelligently, and producing accurate, production-ready models and materials from detailed product specifications.
