Guideline is looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Commercial Technology team and lead the technical platform architecture as we scale our utilization of Salesforce and other enterprise software solutions.

The Team

Guideline’s Commercial Technology team is a core team in charge of customizing and supporting the applications that we use in our Sales, Service, and Marketing teams. The team is critical to the success of the company, developing solutions that provide incredible value to internal teams as well as the growth of the entire company.

What You Will Work On

  • Write clear, concise, functional code.
  • Design and deliver top-of-funnel automation to demonstrate meaningful impact to our growth goals
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively to design and implement both tactical and project related deliverables.
  • Build for scale by designing holistically, with a focus on maintainability and flexibility.
  • Write comprehensive positive and negative unit test classes and vet these with our business and QE teams.
  • Partner with business analysts to evaluate priority, vet acceptance criteria, and analyze test results.
  • Keep current with Salesforce release notes and design trends to contribute to strategic platform design and direction.

What We’re Looking For

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or Application Architect certification(s)
  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 4+ years of experience doing Salesforce development and platform design best practices within Apex
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform architecture
  • Experience with SFDX and Salesforce change/release management best practices

Compensation

At Guideline, we believe compensation should be fair and equitable. We take a data-driven approach to set our compensation bands; the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

  • Metro+:
    The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $197,000 annually.
  • Metro:
    The base salary range for this position is $163,000 - $190,000 annually.
  • National:
    The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $177,000 annually.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive equity in the form of Incentive Stock Options (ISOs).
