This person will be joining an agile organization and will be an integral member in building the wholesale business and facilitating the sales process. The Regional Account Executive educates, collaborates and strategizes with internal and external partners to achieve sales KPIs within a given territory. The territory will include multiple key cities in our Wholesale umbrella.
The Regional Account Executive plays a vital role in driving revenue and maintaining brand positioning at Sephora by achieving sales targets, building brand awareness, and executing successful in-store product launches. This person will be directly responsible for in-store support; driving sales through events and education and by recruiting, training and developing top-tier freelance talent.
This role will report to the Director of National Field Sales.
Responsibilities:
Sales
- Drive territory sales to meet and exceed annual sales targets
- Develop and execute strategic quarterly business plan by door for driving sales and achieving KPIs
- Recruit, coach and develop top-performing freelance talent in local and remote markets
- Strategic management and oversight of calendar and freelance scheduling with a focus on LY liabilities, retail promotions and event execution
- Provide proactive, forward-thinking ideas to support sales efforts and brand recognition expansion.
- Analyze business performance and respond to opportunities through education and operational adjustments.
- Review retail sales and goals, stock, animation, marketing, selling techniques on a weekly basis, making any necessary adjustments and addressing any issues and opportunities.
Events & Education
- Lead daily in-store trainings to introduce, educate and inspire Glossier brand love and loyalty
- Responsible for successful planning and execution of in-store events
- Identify and establish meaningful relationships with key centers of influence in every door
- Cultivate high level relationships with Sephora leadership to discuss brand performance and initiatives to exceed sales objectives advocating for space and location as well as additional exposure with “flex space”
- Gather competitive insight and share feedback on in-store event strategies, EDU initiatives and product performance
Operations
- Ensure consistency in merchandising and operational standards in all doors
- Ensure timely reporting of weekly summary, event results/ recaps, etc
- Effective budget management; T&E, Freelance spend/ ROI
- Support product development teams by sharing customer and retail feedback in real time.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience working in a wholesale, field role and must have experience working in Beauty
- Experience working with Sephora is preferred
- Makeup Artistry experience and skincare knowledge required
- Deep understanding of the retail market and current beauty trends
- Self-starter, solution-minded, highly organized, detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
- Elevated business acumen
- Must have ability to think strategically, conceptualize new ideas, initiate change and react to fast-paced environment
- Charismatic individual with strong negotiation and communication talents
- Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays is required (Tuesday- Saturday schedule, weekly office day is Tuesday)
- Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable traveling via planes, trains, and automobiles
