Genies seeks a talented Senior 3D Software Engineer to join our innovative R&D team. We are looking for a candidate who blends a passion for expressive digital characters with technical expertise in designing and implementing cross-platform graphics solutions. As a Senior 3D Softwarew Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing technologies that manipulate geometry, textures and shaders to elevate the fidelity and performance of our avatars—setting new benchmarks for digital expression and identity.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prototype, build, and debug research-driven tools for 3D content creation.
• Architect clean, extensible software and systems, emphasizing open standards and portability.
• Optimize data structures and algorithms for enhanced speed, memory efficiency, storage, and low latency.
• Share expertise in computer graphics with an interdisciplinary team, fostering knowledge exchange.
• Collaborate with technical leaders and cross-functional teams, providing strategic guidance on the development and debugging of research-driven 3D tools.

What You Should Have:

• 4+ years of experience working with real-time 3D rendering engines (Unity, Unreal) and their architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of 3D graphics APIs, shaders, and hardware-accelerated graphics.
• Strong programming skills, with proficiency in C++, C#, and additional relevant languages.
• Advanced understanding of 3D mathematics, including linear algebra, computational geometry, and numerical analysis.
• Solid expertise in data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and testing frameworks.
• Experience optimizing graphics for mobile platforms (Android, iOS, XR).
• Familiarity with 3D interchange standards (USD, glTF) and compression techniques.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and with various stakeholders.

Excellent to Have:

• Experience with 3D animation, rigged character systems and geometric simulation
• Experience working with DCCs (Blender, Maya, Houdini) in a production environment
• Experience with cloud orchestration and CI/CDs (AWS S3, Lambda, Github Actions)
• Experience with concurrent programming

The actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including: professional background, training, transferable skills, work experience, education, location, business and product needs, and market demand. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time employees may also be eligible for equity compensation, in addition to a robust health, wellness, and benefits package.

Starting Salary Range: $165,000 - $225,000 + Equity (stock options), and comprehensive benefits
