You will support the Total Rewards function by administering our global benefits program, identifying opportunity areas to strengthen our benefits offerings across our global employee population, managing and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements, and upholding our high standards to employee experience by acting as the primary employee contact for all benefit related issues and questions and will deliver excellent customer service. Additionally, you will play an integral role in managing our Leaves program and the various benefit vendors we partner with across the organization, serving as the primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.

  • Launching a new employer-sponsored flexible benefit of discretionary funds

Where you can make an impact:

Global Benefits Program Design & Administration

  • Work with our broker to review our existing health and well-being benefits and identify and evaluate strategic opportunities to further enhance our benefits offerings for our US and global populations
  • Complete and analyze benefits surveys
  • Develop and roll out new benefit programs and evaluate new vendors
  • Administer our current global health and well-being benefits; monitor benefit program costs and recommend cost containment strategies
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
  • Drive the annual benefits renewal process and strategy planning; lead Open Enrollment and Benefits Renewal efforts annually
  • Act as the Benefits SME and partner with other teams (e.g., Onboarding, Communications, Payroll and IT)

Vendor Management

  • Oversee various vendors and partners for benefits and perks offered across our global population. Identify opportunities to better streamline and manage the benefits vendor management process
  • Identify and oversee implementation of new vendors and new benefits offerings
  • On an ongoing basis, reconcile reports received from vendors to ensure enrollments match between our HRIS and vendor systems

Leave Management

  • Oversee all types of leaves offered by NerdWallet; identify opportunities to review and enhance existing leave policies and draft new policies (as needed)

Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

  • Oversee compliance and reporting requirements across all benefits

Your experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of benefits specific experience
  • Strong knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, COBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets

Preferred education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)certification credential.
  • Experience with global benefits preferred
  • Experience with Workday HRIS
  • Experience implementing and managing self-funded benefit plans
  • Deep knowledge of Google Suite; advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (e.g., if/then statements, VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, formulas)

Where:

  • This role will be based in San Francisco, CA or remote (based in the U.S.).

Pay Transparency & Contract Details:

  • The hourly rate for this position is $53-$65/hour
  • This is a W2 contract role hired by Magnit with the opportunity for full-time conversion
  • The estimated schedule for this engagement would be 40 hours per week
