The Head of Product for our Automotive Services Team will be pivotal in shaping the journey of vehicle sellers and buyers across the nation. In this dynamic role, you will spearhead the product strategy for our automotive services marketplace, a vertical poised to disrupt traditional car selling and buying processes. Your mission will be to streamline transactions, encompassing everything from customer acquisition, negotiations, DMV paperwork, payment handling, to vehicle transport.

Your passion for creating consumer-centric product experiences will be key. You'll lead a cross-functional team, leveraging data to inform your strategies and collaborating closely with design, engineering, performance marketing, and organic growth teams. Together, you will craft seamless user journeys that not only simplify but also enhance the vehicle transaction process for both sellers and dealerships.

This role is not just about managing a product; it's about being at the forefront of a transformative initiative in the automotive sector. You'll report to the General Manager of the Automotive Services Team, playing a critical role in establishing NerdWallet as a leader in online automotive transactions.

Projects you may be working on in this position include:

  • Leading the development and launch of a user-friendly platform for online vehicle sales, encompassing features from listing to transaction completion.
  • Implementing innovative tools for price negotiation and transaction processing between sellers and dealerships.
  • Collaborating on the creation of a streamlined DMV paperwork automation system.
  • Developing partnerships with logistics companies for efficient vehicle transport solutions.
  • Overseeing the integration of advanced data analytics to optimize customer acquisition strategies.
  • Orchestrating performance marketing and SEO campaigns to enhance online visibility and drive customer acquisition, while continuously optimizing strategies based on market trends and analytics insights.

Your experience:

  • Proven track record in product management, preferably in automotive, e-commerce, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams to launch and scale digital products.
  • Solid understanding of customer experience design and implementation in a digital context.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and methodologies to drive product strategy and decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

Base pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$160,000$276,000 USD
