Food52 is a leading media and content company that celebrates home cooking, design, and lifestyle. Through engaging storytelling, compelling video, and a dynamic community, we inspire and connect millions of home enthusiasts. We are looking for an experienced and creative Director of Talent, Programming, and Program Development to lead our content strategy and talent partnerships, shaping the next generation of Food52’s media presence.

About the Role

As the Director of Talent, Programming, and Program Development, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of Food52’s content programming. You will be responsible for talent acquisition and management, content development, and programming innovation across digital, social, and emerging media platforms. You will lead the charge in crafting new formats, identifying influential voices, and ensuring our content remains fresh, engaging, and aligned with Food52’s brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Strategy & Management: Oversee talent booking to, recruit, and manage talent (chefs, creators, experts, and personalities) to enhance Food52’s media and content ecosystem.
  • Editorial: Oversee an editorial team made up of freelance editors and in-house editorial staff.
  • Programming Development: Lead the ideation and development of new digital series, video formats, and programming initiatives that drive audience engagement.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with brands, agencies, and production partners to expand Food52’s content reach and revenue opportunities.
  • Audience Growth & Engagement: Use data-driven insights to optimize programming decisions and ensure content resonates with our community.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and e-commerce teams to align content with broader business goals.
  • Content x Commerce Integration - Strategically develop content that supports Food52’s commerce goals, creating seamless, engaging experiences that drive product discovery and conversion.
  • Audience-Centric Programming / Audience Analysis - Use audience insights and analytics to inform content decisions, ensuring relevance and resonance with the Food52 community.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in media, content production, or digital programming, ideally in food, lifestyle, or adjacent categories.
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling digital content programs with measurable success.
  • Strong understanding of audience trends, analytics, and content monetization strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.

COMPENSATION

This is an exempt role.

The target pay range for this role is between 120k - 140k.

This role is eligible to participate in our annual bonus program.
