ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Director, Performance Marketing at Food52 will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of all performance marketing initiatives to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. In this high-impact role, you will oversee paid media, affiliate marketing, and other performance-driven channels while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and lead the performance marketing strategy, spanning paid search, social media, display, affiliate, and other digital channels to achieve growth objectives.
- Oversee campaign execution, ensuring initiatives are optimized for performance metrics such as ROAS, CPA, and CLV.
- Manage and mentor a team of marketing specialists, fostering growth and professional development.
- Collaborate with the Creative and Content teams to develop compelling assets and messaging that resonate with target audiences and align with Food52’s brand.
- Partner with Analytics to build and maintain reporting frameworks that provide insights into campaign performance and guide strategic decisions.
- Drive A/B testing initiatives across platforms to optimize ad performance, landing pages, and conversion rates.
- Manage performance marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum ROI.
- Identify and test new performance marketing channels and opportunities to stay ahead of market trends and competitors.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Data, and Finance, to align on key business goals and priorities.
- Stay updated on the latest performance marketing trends, tools, and technologies to keep Food52 at the forefront of digital marketing innovation.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
- Regularly present performance insights and recommendations to executive leadership, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
- Oversee the implementation of marketing automation tools and technologies to streamline campaign management and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all advertising policies and data privacy regulations across performance marketing activities.
SUCCESS METRICS
- Achievement of performance marketing KPIs, including revenue growth, ROAS, and CPA targets.
- Increased customer acquisition and retention driven by strategic performance marketing initiatives.
- Clear and actionable reporting that informs and supports business decisions.
- Growth and development of the performance marketing team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
- Effective budget management, delivering campaigns that maximize impact within financial parameters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in performance marketing or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and scaling successful digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in platforms such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and other reporting tools.
- Experience managing marketing budgets with a focus on ROI optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments and levels.
- Deep understanding of marketing technology, including ad platforms, attribution tools, and automation software.
- A data-driven mindset combined with a creative approach to problem-solving.

COMPENSATION
For residents of CT, NJ or NY the compensation for this role is $180,000 - $200,000. Factors used to determine the salary range for a given position may impact what salary within the stated range may be offered to any particular candidate (e.g., years of experience, level of education obtained, etc.).
This is an exempt role.
The target pay range for this role is between $180,000 - $200,000.
This role is eligible for participation in our annual bonus program.
