ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Affiliate Lead at Food52 will be responsible for developing and managing a best-in-class affiliate program to drive revenue and audience growth. This role is perfect for a strategic and creative marketer who is passionate about partnerships and has a deep understanding of the affiliate marketing landscape. As the Affiliate Lead, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to build relationships, optimize performance, and ensure the affiliate channel is a key contributor to Food52’s growth objectives. You will be an expert at navigating digital affiliate publisher partnerships while sourcing creator & influencer networks to develop a diversified approach to the affiliate channel
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a comprehensive affiliate marketing strategy to drive revenue and grow Food52’s audience.
- Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with high-performing affiliate partners, including influencers, bloggers, publishers, and networks.
- Optimize the affiliate program by analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to improve ROI.
- Collaborate with the Content and Creative teams to ensure affiliates have access to high-quality, engaging assets and up-to-date product information.
- Manage and negotiate affiliate contracts, commission structures, and performance incentives to maximize profitability.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, tools, and emerging opportunities in the affiliate space to keep Food52 competitive and innovative.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with brand guidelines and ensure all affiliate activities align with Food52’s values and objectives.
- Develop and maintain reporting processes to track key metrics, including revenue, conversion rates, and partner performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align affiliate strategies with broader marketing, sales, and growth initiatives.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead testing and experimentation within the affiliate program to explore new opportunities and improve performance.
- Provide regular updates and insights to the VP, Growth, and other stakeholders regarding the affiliate program’s impact and performance.
SUCCESS METRICS
- Growth in affiliate-driven revenue, including achieving or exceeding quarterly and annual targets.
- Expansion of the affiliate network with high-quality, top-performing partners.
- Improved affiliate program ROI through strategic optimizations and performance tracking.
- Increased visibility and traffic driven by affiliate partnerships.
- Clear, actionable reporting that demonstrates the affiliate program’s impact and supports data-driven decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, partnerships, or performance marketing roles, preferably within the e-commerce or media space.
- Proven track record of managing and growing successful affiliate programs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and optimize performance.
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills, with experience building long-term partnerships.
- Proficiency in affiliate platforms such as Impact, Rakuten, Partnerize or CJ Affiliate, and familiarity with tracking tools like Google Analytics.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for food, home, and lifestyle content is a plus.

COMPENSATION
For residents of CT, NJ or NY the compensation for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. Factors used to determine the salary range for a given position may impact what salary within the stated range may be offered to any particular candidate (e.g., years of experience, level of education obtained, etc.).
This is an exempt role.
The target pay range for this role is between $100,000 - $120,000.
This role is eligible for participation in our annual bonus program.
