About the Role / Summary:
The Senior Manager, Corporate Development & Strategy at Food52 is a strategic and operational role designed to support the CEO and the executive team. This role is responsible for driving strategic planning and execution, streamlining and formalizing processes internally, and cultivating and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO on high-impact business decisions to define long-term goals and objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of the company's strategic plan.
- Deliver strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Engage with the finance team on financial performance to inform business priorities.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Business Operations
- Align cross-functional teams to the company’s long-term goals and objectives.
- Streamline processes and workflows to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Act as a key liaison between departments to facilitate communication and collaboration.
- Analyze financial data to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive internal communications to align the team on CEO and company priorities.
Stakeholder Management
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including senior team members, partners, and board members.
- Drive external investor communications, including the development of quarterly BOD meeting materials and monthly investor updates.
- Build trusted relationships with team members at all levels, acting as a trusted advisor and representative of the team to the CEO and Exec Team.
Success Metrics
The success of this role hinges on an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to effectively manage multiple work streams concurrently.. The candidate will need to identify improvements for the business overall, initiate processes and strategic plans to drive those improvements, and execute on the improvement deliverables. This role requires collaborating and building trust with the senior leadership team, including the CEO, to make sure the business is aligned on the highest-impact priorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5-8 years of e-commerce or content strategy or business operations, strategy consulting, investment, or private equity experience. Work experience can vary based on educational or other qualifications.
- Motivated and enthusiastic self-starter who works on their own initiative and can be self-directed.
- Experience working cross functionally and with senior management.
- Analytically strong, with equal strengths in research, business operations, and written/verbal communication and presentation skills (including expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and other planning and presentation tools).
- Highly organized with attention to detail; thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring equal parts high-level strategy and in-the-weeds details.
COMPENSATION
This is an exempt role. The target pay range for this role is $130,000 to $180,000.
