Within the Retail channel, the Store Operations function ensures our stores efficiently and effectively meet the demands of both our customers and internal teams while driving performance and profitability. The Store Operations Lead supports the Sr. Manager of Store Operations across all aspects of store operations, while taking ownership of store communications and facilities management. This role acts as the connection between store teams, cross-functional partners, and external vendors. Whether it’s working to build a leader onboarding training plan, restructuring our store communications, or resolving a critical issue affecting a store’s physical space, the Store Operations Lead is a key function of maintaining a compelling and cohesive store experience for our customers and staff.
The Store Operations Lead will report to the Senior Manager of Store Operations and partner closely with the rest of the Retail Leadership Team and all Retail Field teams.
Your day-to-day:
- Assist with general day-to-day Store Operations tasks, including, but not limited to:
- Executing and supporting channel and store operations goals or projects
- Developing or updating store processes or policies to increase efficiency, compliance, or reduce workload
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners on store feedback, issue resolution, or brand projects
- Preparing for and executing retail events, both in-store customer events or internal company meetings
- Tracking channel operating expenses to uncover and implement cost‑savings opportunities through supporting procurement and supply acquisition, and researching, evaluating, and onboarding new vendors
- Assisting with weekly reporting and business analysis
- Own store communications and engagement, and assist in the development of store training, including, but not limited to:
- Creating and distributing clear, actionable biweekly communications to store teams and maintaining workload calendars and task management lists
- Streamlining and improving processes related to communication and task management
- Developing and delivering training materials and programs that support operational excellence, product knowledge, and customer experience standards.
- Organizing initiatives to promote retail Team Member engagement
- Own store facilities management, including, but not limited to:
- Resolving facilities issues and executing planned maintenance to ensure the condition of our stores and equipment meet the desired customer experience for Everlane and provide safe working environments.
- Maintaining ticketing systems to regularly track, follow up, and report on the status of work requests and vendors.
- Maintaining relationships with existing maintenance and security vendors and sourcing new vendors for specific issue resolution or planned maintenance as needed.
- Providing on-call support for resolution of any required emergency repairs.
- Streamlining and improving facilities processes and policies
- Other tasks as assigned by Leadership
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 3+ years of experience in retail operations, multi-store management, or similar roles
- Strong communication and training development skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects and budgets effectively
- Experience with facilities management, including vendor coordination and issue resolution is a plus
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
- Self-motivated, proactive thinker with ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Experience using Airtable is a plus.
The Fine Print:
SF or LA: This is a full-time role based at either our San Francisco office headquarters in the Mission neighborhood or in our Los Angeles Creative Studio located in the Arts District. We are on a hybrid schedule, with at least three days in the office per week, Tuesdays through Thursdays.
California Residents: At Everlane, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The annual compensation range for this role is: SF range is $74,000 - $100,000 and LA range is $67,000 - $90,000. This range is based on the San Francisco + Los Angeles geographic area and the actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
