At Everlane, we want the right choice to be as easy as putting on a great T-shirt. That’s why we partner with ethical factories around the world. Work with high-quality and more sustainably sourced materials. And share the true cost of every product we make. But there's a lot more work to be done, and we're excited to be growing a team of motivated humans that are up for the challenge.

Everlane is building a first-class design team, and we are currently looking to fill a Senior Women’s Denim Designer level position that will focus on the Denim range, partnering closely with the VP of Design and CCO for the product strategy. You will also be expected to liaise with the Menswear Denim Designer for Denim washes and RM planning.

You must be passionate about Denim trends and washes, fabrics, details, and fits and confident about all the technical aspects of denim development. You will also be instrumental in continuing to support the current Denim Collection Strategy. To this end, you will work closely with your cross-functional partners in Merchandising, Technical Design, Raw Material Sourcing, and Production and you will be reporting to the VP of Design Product.

Your day-to-day:

  • Conduct seasonal research on Women’s Denim.
  • Brainstorm new product ideas with the VP of Design and CCO.
  • Translate all Women’s Denim Style sketches into Illustrator and prepare technical packages.
  • Create Denim RM wash briefs by selecting wear patterns, shade references, and detail references for each style; carry-over color refreshes, and new styles.
  • Organize and manage the denim fabric and wash standards internal Everlane archive for convenient reference.
  • Responsible for tracking Denim wash developments and communicating feedback and comments clearly and timely to PD and vendor partners.
  • Prepare presentations for all cross-functional milestone meetings with a clear POV of Denim Fashion trends, with direction on how to seed new styles and build on existing top blocks and core Denim build-outs.
  • BOM creation and management of all Women’s Denim products.
  • Partner with Product Development to complete seasonal BOMs in the WFX system (Everlane's Product Lifecycle Management - PLM).
  • Attend all Women’s Denim fittings and communicate updates and fit comments clearly to impacted teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Men’s Denim Designer for RM and Wash instructions and sample yardage ordering.
  • Initiate and create designs using research and inspirational images and techniques.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • 5+ years of experience designing women's Denim Products.
  • Proven track record of building and developing Denim styles and have worked at scale
  • Deep technical knowledge of Denim RM and Wash Requests
  • High competency with fittings and ability to communicate clearly around fit intent
  • Strong P.O.V on relevant trend
