The Senior Media Designer makes the video, motion graphics, and visual design that teach customers, partners, and Cornerstone employees how to use our products. You set the visual and production standard for the Media team, direct media design support, and work with the Learning Design teams so finished assets are ready when the product ships. You are accountable for media that is clear, on brand, accurate to the product, and delivered on time. In this role you will... Own video, motion graphics, and visual design for learning content from approved brief to published asset, so that each one shows a learner what to do, not only what a feature is. Set and maintain the media standard: templates, brand and visual guidelines, and review criteria, so assets look and feel consistent no matter who produces them. Direct and coach any media design support / junior team members: assign work, review output, and teach the templates and workflow. Review all media assets for brand consistency before they publish. Work with Learning Design to scope requests, agree on what done looks like, and hand off finished assets. Manage several projects at once, set priorities against the team's intake queue, and meet release dates. Identify, test, and implement AI-enabled automation for routine operational work; measure impact and retire unnecessary manual processes. Use AI tools for storyboards, voice, captions, first-cut edits, and asset variations. Review every output for accuracy, quality, and brand before it ships. A person decides what publishes. Perform other duties as assigned. What Success Looks Like Quality at first review: 75% of media assets meet Cornerstone's learning quality standard at first review by June 2027. On-time delivery: 95% of media assets delivered by the committed date, with release-tied assets ready at general availability (GA). AI transformation: within the first 90 days, document the 2-3 most time-consuming routine media tasks, pilot AI on at least one, and report time before and after. AI transformation: 2 manual steps in the media workflow (such as captioning, versioning, or first-cut edits) replaced with an AI-assisted step by June 2027. You’ve got what it takes if you have.. 8+ years producing video, motion graphics, and visual design on a creative team, or a bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, multimedia design, or a related field. A portfolio of software, training, or corporate learning work. Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Able to scope a project, form first ideas about the purpose of the material, and work across teams and departments. Able to manage many projects under tight deadlines and set priorities. Experience directing or mentoring other designers. Comfortable working asynchronously across time zones. Able to evaluate AI outputs and apply sound judgment about what ships. Preferred Experience PowerPoint, InDesign, Acrobat, Camtasia, Affinity by Canva, and audio editing software. Experience producing video for software training or e-learning, and familiarity with Cornerstone or another enterprise learning or HR platform. Experience designing or improving AI-assisted video, voice, or design workflows. AI Continuous Learning Hands-on with AI video, voice, and design tools, and knows which steps still need a human's eye. Uses AI tools every day in their own work and can show an example where AI changed how the work is done, not just how fast. Evaluates AI output critically for accuracy, bias, privacy and data handling, and knows when a human must decide. Actively explores internal (Cornerstone AI) and external tools, brings recommendations to the team, and retires tools and processes that do not earn their place. Keeps skills current through communities, certifications, hands-on experimentation and industry learning, and shares what they learn with the team. How You Work Customer obsessed: Start with the learner’s and the account’s problem, not the tool. Innovate and transform: Challenge the status quo and retire systems and processes that do not earn their place. Proactive leadership: See problems and act before being asked. Get it done: Ship, measure and iterate. Forward looking: Plan for where technology and the business are going. AI native: Use AI daily to rethink work, not just accelerate it. Get uncomfortable to succeed: Take on hard, ambiguous problems and stay with them.
