Junior Engineer – Cloud Operations About the Team The Cloud Operations team at Cornerstone provides comprehensive hosting and operational support services that enable organizations to deploy and manage applications with minimal IT infrastructure. The team ensures high availability, reliability, and performance of our SaaS cloud environment while delivering exceptional customer support. As a Junior Engineer – Cloud Operations, you will support the day-to-day operations of Windows and Linux-based servers hosting web and database applications in a rapidly growing SaaS environment. You will work closely with senior engineers to monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure customers receive reliable 24x7 service. In this role you will… Assist in the day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and operation of cloud infrastructure. Handle support tickets, service requests, and operational tasks through established tools and processes. Support incident management by identifying, troubleshooting, and escalating issues to minimize service downtime. Perform routine server administration activities on Windows and Linux servers under guidance. Monitor system health, application availability, and infrastructure performance using monitoring tools. Assist in executing scheduled maintenance activities, patching, and system updates. Support backup operations by monitoring backup jobs and assisting with recovery activities when required. Follow change management processes while implementing approved changes. Provide backend operational support to internal Customer Support teams. Assist in troubleshooting issues related to Windows Server, Linux, IIS, VMware, databases, and web applications. Document operational procedures, incident resolutions, and troubleshooting steps. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure service availability and customer satisfaction. Participate in rotational shifts to support a 24x7 operational environment. You've got what it takes if you have… Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, System Administration, or Technical Support. Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems. Familiarity with web servers such as IIS and Apache/Nginx is preferred. Basic understanding of SQL Server, MySQL, or MongoDB. Understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware is an advantage. Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment. Understanding of ITIL concepts, incident management, or change management is a plus. Good written and spoken English. Nice to have skills.. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Basic understanding of monitoring and logging tools. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps concepts is an added advantage. #LI-Onsite
