Duet empowers Nurse Practitioners (NP) to expand access to high-quality primary care by leading their own practices in underserved areas. We're a well-funded seed-stage company led by experienced operators and Nurse Practitioners, and backed by investors like Lerer Hippeau and Kairos.

We’re building a vertically integrated platform for NP-led practices to thrive as small businesses in a time of consolidation. Think of workflows to engage patients, streamline administration, optimize productivity, and drive value-based outcomes. These solutions sit on a foundation of data that we harness for the benefit of patient care and practice success.

About the role:

As a key early hire, you’ll play an important role in supporting the operational health of primary care practices by serving as a trusted partner to them. Expect to combine strong project management skills with a customer service mindset and an ability to 10x our speed and quality. You will be a builder, responsible for scaling and expanding our operational capabilities, all the while managing customer onboarding and service delivery first hand.

You’ll work closely with our Clinical Operations team, and our partners who help provide credentialing, billing, and EMR management among other services. While you’ll be an individual contributor to start, you’ll have the opportunity to lead a team over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a deep sense of trust with primary care practices across our network, driving operational success through collaboration and effective communication.
  • Manage the onboarding of customers into our services, including credentialing, billing, EMR management, and others.
  • Oversee relationships with our partners who help provide credentialing, billing, EMR management, and other services.
  • Ensure the operational performance of these services and maintain a high standard of delivery to customers.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Operations team to scale our service offerings to meet the needs of small practices.
  • Vet and recommend software tools and other vendors to incorporate into our platform.
  • Be a partner to our leadership team and continue to expand our thinking on more ways to serve neighborhood practices and their teams.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field, with at least 4+ years of experience in a strategy or operations role, preferably within the healthcare industry. Experience in a high-growth tech startup is a big plus.
  • Experience in managing client relationships and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple priorities at once.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of inspiring trust and working across diverse settings and audiences with varying levels of sophistication.
  • Experience working with EMR systems, credentialing, and billing processes is strongly preferred.
  • A self-starter that is comfortable with tight deadlines and ambiguity.
  • Proven experience in building, scaling, and expanding operational processes.
