Dr. B launched as a vaccine standby list at the height of the Covid-19 crisis. Our mission was to help save lives by matching patients who needed a vaccine with 700+ vaccine providers across 37 states. Ultimately we offered a vaccine to 1 million+ people. Once shots became more broadly available, we began to research how we could apply our platform to other healthcare challenges in need of more efficient and equitable solutions. Dr. B is now taking on medical prescriptions—another aspect of healthcare that was upended as the pandemic moved our lives online. As telehealth providers have multiplied, so have prices, with many patients paying far more for medications than they need to. We know there’s a better, more transparent way. Dr. B is launching a new service that allows patients to safely and affordably get prescriptions, then fulfill those scripts wherever is most convenient—whether that’s online or the pharmacy around the corner.
