Included Health is seeking a Benefits Program Manager to be a part of the Talent and Organization team. This role will participate in the development of the benefit strategy, own implementation of new benefit programs, create benefits content for benefits education and communication, and manage vendor relationships. The right candidate will have in-depth knowledge of US benefits programming and compliance, a strategic mindset, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to be creative in the development of programming and communications.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Benefit Strategy: Participate in the development of the benefits strategy and vision, and create buy-in for the program roadmap with relevant stakeholders.
  • Escalated Benefit Issues: Provide consultation and SME support for benefit plan issues that arise.
  • Program Design and Implementation: Design benefits programs based on business needs, industry best practices, and regulatory guidelines. Ensure smooth program implementation and monitor its effectiveness.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage invoices, conduct audits, update Workday as necessary
  • Compliance and Regulation: Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations related to employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other welfare programs, and ensure clients' compliance.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze benefits program data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance program performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with insurance carriers, retirement plan administrators, and other benefit vendors to review performance, and ensure service delivery meets expectations.
  • Employee Education: Develop communication strategies and materials to educate employees about their benefits options and deliver these communications effectively - including designing presentations and educational content
  • Benchmarking: Partner with benefits broker to research benchmarking studies to compare benefits packages with industry standards.
  • Change Management: Develop change management strategies around benefits programs

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years US Benefits administration/management experience
  • Knowledge of benefit plan design, implementation, and administration; experience with benefits education to a diverse employee population,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as ability to present in a clear and compelling manner to various audiences (HR partners, cross-functional partners, managers, business leaders, employees)
  • Strong ability to organize, keep track of details and produce results in an fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in high-growth, pre-IPO company and/or industry experience in Technology or Healthcare preferred
  • Knowledge and previous experience with Workday a strong plus

Physical/Cognitive Requirements

  • Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.
  • Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.
  • No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required.
  • Ability to interact with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.
The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
Zone A: $81,260 - $105,640 + equity + benefits
Zone B: $93,449 - $121,486 + equity + benefits
Zone C: $101,575 - $132,050 + equity + benefits
Zone D: $105,638 - $137,332 + equity + benefits
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone. Below is additional information on Included Health's commitment to maintaining transparent and equitable compensation practices across our distinct geographic zones.
Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and competitive compensation based on their roles and locations.
