The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced accommodations professional who knows the ADA interactive process inside and out — someone who can turn complex medical documentation into clear, actionable next steps. You’ll be the go-to expert for our customers and internal team, offering practical, judgment-based guidance and helping shape how modern accommodations are handled at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and verify medical documentation: Evaluate provider notes and employee requests to determine whether accommodations can be medically supported, and clearly communicate outcomes in accessible, empathetic language.
  • Guide ADA cases: Provide written guidance to HR and case managers on the interactive process, timelines, and documentation needs — escalating complex or novel cases when necessary.
  • Spot FMLA overlaps: Identify when situations cross into leave or medical absence and flag appropriate next steps or transitions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement: Update internal playbooks, decision trees, and templates; highlight recurring patterns and suggest process enhancements.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Share insights from real-world cases to help our Product and Ops teams streamline workflows and improve clarity for both employees and managers.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: 5+ years in ADA accommodations, disability case management, leave management (FMLA/PFML), or a similar compliance function.
    Sound judgment: You know what good documentation looks like, when to ask for clarification, and when to escalate.
  • Strong writing: You communicate complex processes in plain English, with empathy and precision.
  • Process excellence: You stay organized across multiple cases and timelines without losing sight of the human element.
  • Tech comfort: Familiarity with modern SaaS tools (ticketing/chat/CRM, docs, spreadsheets).
  • Bonus points for: CRC, CDMS, CPDM, or SHRM certifications; paralegal experience; or expertise with state leave or disability programs.

Engagement Details

  • Hours: ~20 hrs/week to start, with potential to expand.
  • Schedule: Flexible within U.S. business hours; some same-day responses needed for active cases.
  • Compensation: $22–$30/hr, depending on experience and location, with room to grow based on credentials and case complexity.
  • Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with potential to renew.

How We’ll Work Together

You’ll receive hands-on onboarding to our workflows, templates, and quality standards. Expect ongoing collaboration with our Customer Ops and Product teams via chat and weekly check-ins. Confidentiality and precision are key — you’ll handle sensitive data under strict ADA and HIPAA protocols.
