About The Role

We’re looking for a Merchandise Planner at CUUP. The Planner will support the development and execution of merchandise plans. Our ideal candidate will be highly analytical, organized and have a sharp attention to detail. This person is responsible for assisting with the strategic direction of inventory based on analysis of total brand financials, historical data, and current product trends. They will help manage inventory through the use of various merchandise reporting tools, ensuring growth targets are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities and influence future assortment decisions
  • Support the development of merchandise plans from the top level down to the product level that meet company targets.
  • Produce and analyze weekly reporting that is repeatable
  • Support Director of Planning to develop forecasts and analysis for growth projects
  • Build and enhance replenishment and inventory management models
  • Develop size optimization to maximize inventory efficiency, produce purchase orders
  • Adjust sales and inventory forecasts based on recent trends and strategy shifts to drive business
  • In partnership with Production team, forecast receipt flow to ensure optimal inventory levels that balance liability and opportunity
  • Participate in monthly OTB meetings through recommending strategic actions to optimize inventory

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Planning, Buying/Merchandising, or Allocation
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving acumen, comfort in working with numbers
  • Microsoft Excel skills and a strong understanding of retail math
  • Capable of building processes and reports from scratch to identify opportunities and risks
  • Attention to detail to sort through large data sets, identify patterns and abnormalities and sharing out findings and recommendation
  • Collaborative and willing to work cross-functionally to share ideas and develop solutions
  • Extremely organized and adaptable, able to effectively manage day-to-day operations and support growth initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eager to learn and love seeking out new problems to analyze in a methodical way.
  • Bonus points for experience with Looker

About The Role

CUUP is looking for an ambitious freelance contractor to join a growing Brand Marketing team. The right candidate will have a strong interest in Communications, PR, Influencer Marketing, Celebrity Relations, Brand Partnerships and Events. Along with a passion for and understanding of traditional media, social media and current events. This role is integral to the organization and success of the department, with opportunity to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment. This position will report to the Senior Associate of Brand Partnerships & Activations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with PR agency daily to execute PR strategy, including fielding & executing incoming inquiries - relevant interviews, boilerplates, information needs, fittings, pulls, gifting, etc.
  • Support sample management & tracking across work with PR agency & internal CUUP Brand team/office
  • Work with Operations team to manage & track daily orders for pulls, loans & gifting
  • Work with Fit Team to offer stellar fit experience for editors, partners & brand contacts
  • Support Gifting strategy - pitching talent ideas & executing all outreach & logistics
  • Support Brand team’s work with all cross functional teams - namely Creative, Social Media, Product, Site & Growth - to execute Brand Partnerships, Activations & Events
  • Support admin and production of Brand Partnerships, Media Buys, Activations & Events
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans for key initiatives
  • Support organization of calendars, contact lists, contracts, timelines, tracking, deliverables & follow up
  • Maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly insights/reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years experience in-house at a brand or PR firm, with focus on fashion, beauty or lifestyle
  • Skilled communicator who aims to go above and beyond in every conversation
  • Passion for multimedia, pop culture, current events, philanthropy, art, music & fashion - with finger on the pulse of culture
  • Excellent writer with experience forming public-facing or customer-facing exchanges & partner communication
  • Passion for building industry relationship & leveraging existing
  • Strategic thinker who pairs human touch with measurable insights & data
  • Creative thinker who likes to brainstorm, work collaboratively & learn
  • A team player with a strong work ethic who is ready to hustle, problem solve & pitch in
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of e-commerce functionality, Shopify, shipping, fulfillment, tracking & logistics (Fedex, UPS, messenger services)
  • Helpful if experience in Cision, Social Media software, Influencer Marketing platforms
