Crexi’s Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is part of the strong engineering team. The SDET is a self-motivated individual who contributes to bringing our quality assurance processes to the next level and is determined to deliver the best experience to Crexi’s users. This role helps the engineering team automate, enhance, maintain, and optimize Crexi’s growing list of test scenarios.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborates with the distributed SDET team toward the goal of supporting frequent releases and keeping a high bar of quality
  • Provides guidance in the review and validation of all automation deliverables
  • Mentors peers to foster their growth
  • Works with the larger engineering organization to develop and implement best practices and workflow improvements for testing
  • Works with the team on automation strategy for new services and products
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams in key planning meetings to provide feedback on feature specifications, testing needs, and project risks
  • Designs, develops, and executes new automated test cases that ensures the software meets the intended requirements and helps maintain existing automated test suites
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and tracks bugs to resolution
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Pluses:

  • 4+ years of experience working in SDET role
  • Experience building scalable test automation approaches and tools
  • Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Strong understanding of OOP and clean code principles
  • Passionate about well-designed and maintainable code, with high standards
  • Experience with Cypress and Playwright testing frameworks
  • Thorough understanding of CI/CD concepts in DevOps pipeline and tools
  • Solid knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, HTTP protocol, JSON, REST


The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in our Playa Vista, California location is $124,000 to $140,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience applicable to the role and within the industry, education, geographic location, etc. Commercial Real Estate Exchange, Inc (“Crexi”) is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
