Job Overview (What You’ll Do):

Cotopaxi is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Senior Manager of Growth Marketing to lead and scale our customer acquisition efforts across both paid and owned channels. In this critical role, you’ll own the strategy, execution, and continuous optimization of performance marketing campaigns across platforms including Meta, Google, TikTok, direct mail, and affiliate. You’ll also drive the strategy behind our owned marketing channels, ensuring alignment with both acquisition and retention goals.

As a key growth leader, you’ll manage a significant marketing budget, develop data-driven and scalable strategies, and partner cross-functionally with teams across brand, creative, product, and e-commerce to fuel sustainable revenue growth and expand our customer base. This is a high-impact role for a marketer who thrives on testing, learning, and driving measurable results in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities (How You’ll Do It):

  • Lead Cotopaxi’s paid media strategy, focusing on efficient new customer acquisition and driving long-term customer value across platforms like Meta, Google, TikTok, affiliate, and direct mail.
  • Oversee and collaborate with Cotopaxi’s external media agency, championing innovation and testing the incrementality of campaigns and channels to ensure maximum impact.
  • Own and manage the annual growth marketing budget, balancing efficiency with scalability. Set pacing plans, ensure agency accountability, and continuously optimize spend across channels to maximize ROI.
  • Provide strategic expertise in audience segmentation, creative direction, and account architecture, ensuring campaign execution aligns with best practices and business goals.
  • Build and oversee processes for creative development, testing, and iteration, fostering a culture of experimentation and continual performance improvement.
  • Develop a robust measurement framework to evaluate marketing effectiveness, ensuring profitability and efficient spend across all acquisition efforts.
  • Analyze campaign performance and customer data to uncover insights and deliver actionable recommendations to creative, brand, and cross-functional partners.
  • Lead the strategy for Cotopaxi’s owned channels, including email and SMS, to engage and retain newly acquired customers and nurture loyalty throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Manage and mentor the Retention & Loyalty Specialist, supporting professional growth and aligning retention strategies with overall growth goals.

The Ideal Candidate (What You Need to Succeed):

  • 7–10 years of experience in acquisition marketing, with deep expertise in managing and scaling campaigns on Meta and Google Ads.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with affiliate marketing and direct mail programs, including strategy, execution, and performance optimization.
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience, with a proven ability to mentor and lead high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in owning paid media budgets and optimizing spend to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable business impact through end-to-end ownership of customer acquisition strategy.
  • Advanced analytical skills and fluency in marketing KPIs, attribution methodologies, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Ability to think creatively while maintaining a performance- and results-driven mindset.
  • Experience working in the outdoor, lifestyle, or apparel category preferred.
  • Familiarity with Shopify and Bloomreach (or comparable platforms) is a plus.
