Job Summary:
Do you have a passion for software testing? Do you have a desire to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? Chartbeat is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer in Test Intern to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with our development team to ensure that our software products are delivered to the highest quality standards. The internship will be 10 weeks long this summer (between June 5th and Aug 11th) and the position is full time (40 hours per week), paid and remote.
Responsibilities
- Work with the development team to understand product & tech requirements, develop test strategy including test plan and test cases.
- Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance and integration testing, to ensure the software meets the specified requirements.
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools.
- Execute manual and automated tests and report defects accurately and timely in issue tracking systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the software products are delivered on time and to the expected quality standards.
- Work with the development team to improve the software development process and software quality.
- Work with fellow SDET to research and build testing tools / frameworks to solve cross-functional team testing problems.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of programming concepts and languages with entry level coding abilities in Python and Javascript.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and tools such as cypress, pytest etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Enrolled in a full time undergraduate/grad program.
- Authorized to work in the US.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $800/week ($20/h, 40h). Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the applicable law.
