Together, we’re expanding the ecosystem of insights we provide to enterprise content creators who are developing audiences and revenue streams across channels. By joining two comprehensive network-level datasets, we’ll help our partners understand and measure a larger proportion of audience interactions and, in turn, make smarter decisions that grow reach and revenue. We now serve more than 1,000 brands globally, including influential content publishers like The New York Times, the BBC, ESPN, Gannett, Vox, BuzzFeed, Paramount, WB, Mediahuis, Hearst, McClatchy, and GQ.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Python development of microservices, APIs, and related frameworks powering our core customer-facing applications
  • Write large-scale distributed Spark data pipelines using Python and JVM languages
  • Work with the Head of Architecture and Infrastructure team to design and implement efficient storage technology using distributed technologies such as ElasticSearch, Hive, AWS Aurora, and others
  • Collaborate with the Data Science team to deliver innovative ML-driven products to market
  • Work closely with Product Management in an Agile environment to ideate on, plan, and iteratively develop and release data-driven products

What You Bring To The Role:

  • 3+ years of experience in a professional software engineering role
  • Expert-level Python programming skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially as they relate to Agile software development concepts such as XP and ScrumExperience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud technologiesSome experience working on distributed data processing systems such as Spark, MapReduce, Kafka, or similar
  • An interest in learning about the social media / video domain
  • Pride in identifying the right-sized solution to technical challenges
  • A desire to put your skills to work on mission-critical systems where your contributions really make difference
  • Excellent character, including a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Willingness to participate in periodic on-call duties
  • B.A./B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or an equivalent field preferred

The pay range for this position is: $135,000 - $150,000 per year. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to applicable law.
