Director, Digital Transformation
Administration · Full-time
Philadelphia, PA, USA
The Role
Brami is hiring its first Director of Digital Transformation— a hands-on leader who will build the technology and data foundation this company needs to keep growing. This isn't a maintain-what-exists role: you'll be setting up and improving core systems, standing up the data infrastructure that lets leadership see the business clearly, and making sure IT operations and security scale sensibly with the team. You'll operate as both strategist and builder - evaluating what Brami needs next and then rolling up your sleeves to implement it.
What You'll Do
Data & Analytics Infrastructure
- Build and own Brami's core data infrastructure, connecting retail POS/syndicated data (e.g., Circana, SPINS), e-commerce and DTC platforms, and distributor feeds into a single source of truth.
- Evaluate and implement BI/reporting tools sized for a company Brami's stage, enabling self-serve dashboards for sales, marketing, and finance rather than one-off spreadsheet requests.
- Partner with sales and finance to build automated sell-in/sell-through, inventory, and demand-planning reporting as Brami adds retail partners and channels.
- Establish lightweight data governance — data quality standards, access controls, and documentation — that can scale as the company grows.
Core Systems & Technology Backbone
- Own and evolve Brami's core systems stack: ERP (e.g., NetSuite), e-commerce/DTC platform (e.g., Shopify), and retailer EDI connections.
- Evaluate, select, and implement new tools and systems as the company grows, balancing speed against long-term scalability.
- Manage integrations so data flows cleanly between sales, operations, finance, and marketing tools.
- Own relationships with the vendors, contractors, and MSPs that support this stack.
IT Operations, Security & Vendor Management
- Manage Brami's external IT partner, which handles employee equipment, software licensing, and helpdesk support — setting priorities, holding them to service levels, and stepping in on escalations.
- Oversee onboarding/offboarding from an IT perspective, working with the external partner to keep it smooth as the team grows.
- Establish foundational cybersecurity practices — access controls, data privacy basics, and vendor security reviews — right-sized for a company Brami's size.
- Manage the IT budget and vendor contracts, including the external IT partner relationship, finding solutions that fit a lean, fast-growing organization.
- Build simple, scalable IT policies and documentation as the team grows.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as the go-to technical partner for every department, translating business needs into practical technology solutions.
- Work directly with leadership to prioritize technology investments against Brami's growth goals.
- Bring an outside perspective on where automation or better tooling can save time for a lean team.
- Identify opportunities to use AI tools to extend what a lean team can do — from reporting and forecasting to day-to-day IT operations.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in IT/systems roles at fast growing companies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered
- Experience in CPG, food & beverage, or another fast-moving consumer brand strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify), and retailer EDI.
- A track record of building or significantly improving data and reporting infrastructure and BI tooling.
- Comfortable evaluating and adopting AI-powered tools (e.g., analytics copilots, automation platforms) to get more leverage out of a small team.
- Bonus: familiarity with syndicated retail data (Circana, SPINS, NielsenIQ) common in CPG.
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
- You've thrived at a small or scaling company where you wear multiple hats.
- You're energized by building systems and processes from scratch, not just maintaining what already exists.
- You can move between strategic planning and hands-on troubleshooting in the same day.
- You communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical teammates.
- You're excited about the food & beverage / CPG space.
