Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and Manage: Lead and manage the following initiatives and serve as main point of contact for all day-to-day legal matters with internal departments (MediMobility, Marketing, Partnerships, Activations, Product, Operations, Flier Relations, Safety, Risk Management, etc.):
    • Driving contracting processes from start-to-finish, including management of internal contracting platforms;
    • Drafting, negotiating and standardizing various commercial contracts, including without limitation:
      • aircraft operator and ground transportation vendor agreements;
      • transportation and organ placement services agreements with hospital, transplant center and organ procurement organization clients;
      • brand partnerships and sponsorship agreements;
      • preferred pricing, commission and bulk purchase agreements;
      • master services agreements and related scopes of work with cloud services providers and technology vendors; and
      • real estate and lease agreements;
    • Drafting and updating key company policies and terms and conditions;
    • Providing legal review for marketing materials and contractual, insurance and project-management support for event-based flight activations;
    • Overseeing insurance and risk management initiatives, including management of organization-wide insurance portfolios, ensuring compliance by third party vendors and support of our Safety and Risk Management teams as needed; and
    • Spearheading relevant compliance initiatives, including HIPAA and data privacy compliance.
  • General Support: Provide general support for general legal department initiatives as needed, including, without limitation:
    • The design and operation of a scalable and efficient legal function that sits at the center of our organization and supports our company’s rapid growth;
    • Public disclosure documents and SEC reports such as 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, Proxy Statements and Section 16 filings
    • Litigation and employment-related matters;
    • Corporate governance-related matters, including the preparation of materials, resolutions and minutes for meetings of our Board of Directors;
    • General M&A and investment activities, including due diligence;
    • Corporate communications, public policy and government affairs; and
    • Management of outside counsel and annual budgets.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor required.
  • Active bar membership in good standing in New York required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Prior in-house experience preferred.
  • Aviation, medical industry, data privacy and/or public company experience preferred.
  • Must be a strategic and independent thinker, proactive, poised, reliable, flexible, thorough, detail-oriented, organized and professional.
  • Must be a self-starter with a high degree of resourcefulness and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be naturally inclined to take initiative and identify and solve problems without direct instruction.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and highly regulated environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Benefits eligible
  • The base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 to $150,000.
  • This position is also eligible for discretionary equity awards in accordance with the Company’s standard practices.
