What does the role look like?

Bench is looking for a stand out Senior Sales Planning Manager to own sales strategy and planning. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with sales leadership, sales enablement and biz opps to develop sales targets, define and track KPIs, and develop and execute operational plans. This position ensures that our sales teams are equipped to achieve business goals. This involves analyzing sales data and trends to identify opportunities and challenges, developing and updating sales forecasts and budgets based on historical performance and market conditions,

You’ll work to uncover insights, develop recommendations, and then implement improvements to our existing sales strategy. The ideal candidate will have worked in fast-paced environments before, ideally at a multi-product SaaS company, and will have made a measurable impact to the sales organization. Their work on sales dashboards and KPIs provides transparency and accountability, enabling continuous performance optimization.

What you’ll get up to:

  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on insights and analytics.
  • Understand the root causes of performance, diagnose issues and risks, identify opportunities to scale repeatable successes patterns, and define effective action plans.
  • Provide sales teams with actionable strategic sales recommendations based on quantitative analyses and qualitative business insights.
  • Create consistent and clear articulation of performance for pipeline and revenue KPIs to understand and optimize business performance.
  • Assign quotas, and incentives to motivate and reward sales reps, creating and maintaining sales dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor and evaluate sales results.
  • Perform rigorous quantitative analyses of pipeline and revenue data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Utilize data analytics for revenue forecasting and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate and build executive level reports and presentations on a monthly and quarterly basis that detail and analyze core revenue KPIs.

What you'll need:

  • Deep understanding of sales strategy, operations, and the connections between GTM teams.
  • Strong experience with sales software such as CRM, BI and ERP tools.
  • A combination of analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a quantitative, results-driven approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passionate about leveraging technology to drive business growth.

It could be an even better fit if you have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related Finance / Business field.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales strategy, sales analytics, sales excellence or sales planning roles.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • 5+ years of experience using data to drive business outcomes or inform business decisions.
  • 5+ years managing projects, including planning, managing timelines, and tracking progress, and/or change management experience.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to work from somewhere other than your home province for up to 90 days in a 12-month period.
