About the role
At Bellhop, we’re redefining the moving experience by combining technology and exceptional service. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Finance Lead to provide strategic financial expertise and execution on a part-time or fractional basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and wants to make a meaningful impact while maintaining flexibility. We expect this role to be around 15-20 hours per week, though that may flex up or down with business needs.

What You’ll Do
As Finance Lead, you’ll be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, and strategy while managing the Senior Accountant, who will oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
Strategic Finance & Leadership
- Lead the company’s financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting (annual, quarterly, and monthly).
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to provide financial insights that drive decision-making.
- Develop financial models to support business strategy, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports, investor updates, and board materials.
- Support strategic initiatives, including M&A activity, new product development, and pricing strategy.
Managerial Oversight of Accounting
- Manage and mentor the Senior Accountant, who will own AR, AP, payroll, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and best practices in accounting processes.
- Coordinate with outsourced tax, payroll, and accounting providers as needed.
Cash Flow & Spend Management
- Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, and financial health.
- Oversee company spend, ensuring alignment with budgets and strategic priorities.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve margins and profitability.
Process & System Improvements
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes.
- Implement financial tools and systems to support scale and efficiency.
What You Should Have
- 7+ years of finance experience (FP&A, startups, or high-growth environments preferred).
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
- Experience partnering with leadership teams on financial decision-making.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Familiarity with Xero, Ramp, or similar accounting tools.
- A bias for action—comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Role Details
- This role can either be a part-time or fractional/consultant opportunity.
- Expected time commitment: roughly 15-20 hours per week or 60-80 hours per month. Hours may flex up or down depending on business needs.
- The pay range for this role is $7,000-$10,000 per month or $85-$125 per hour, commensurate with background and experience.
- Fully remote.
