The Creative team is responsible for all creative work across toys and product design, product development, marketing, and photography. We're a diverse group of creatives coming from all sorts of backgrounds. We pride ourselves on being funny and innovative in order for us to create magical experiences for dogs and their people. We don't take ourselves too seriously, and love finding inspiration in unexpected places.

WHO WE’RE SNIFFIN’ FOR:

We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Photography Coordinator to manage BARK’s photography needs across marketing and product teams. This mid-level role will serve as the main point of contact between internal stakeholders, external agencies, and freelance photographers, ensuring seamless coordination and high-quality content delivery. You must have exceptional project management skills, quick-turn photo editing abilities, and a passion for creative collaboration—and obviously, you must love dogs!

KEY DUTIES:

  • Act as the primary liaison between BARK’s internal teams, external photography agency, and freelance photographers.
  • Manage the end-to-end photography process, from project briefing to final asset delivery.
  • Host kickoff calls with stakeholders to align on deliverables, timelines, and creative direction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create project briefs, direction decks, and mood boards.
  • Review content to ensure it meets brand standards and provides actionable feedback to external partners.
  • Perform quick-turn edits and minor retouching as needed, leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows and the editing and resizing processes.
  • Organize, label, and store assets in Brandfolder for easy access by internal teams.
  • Coordinate delivery of final, formatted assets to external partners such as retailers, ensuring compliance with their specifications.
  • Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in project workflows to meet deadlines.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3–5 years of experience in photography coordination, project management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing external agencies and freelance photographers.
  • Strong understanding of studio photography techniques and production workflows.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom) and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com).
  • Familiarity with AI tools for photo processing and workflow optimization.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across teams.

  • A love for dogs and an enthusiasm for creating magical experiences for them and their people!

FOR NJ/NY BASED APPLICANTS:

  • The base salary range for this position is $80,000- $100,000
  • This position is eligible for equity

**This compensation range is based on BARKs good faith estimate as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay for this position will depend on a variety of variables including location, travel, internal equity, experience, education, skills and expertise.
