About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to build a community for a new brand in the CPG space. Aerflo is creating a category as the world's first portable soda maker, and you'll get to write it. As our Social Media & Content Manager, you'll define how Aerflo shows up and sounds across social, and turn our growing audience into a community of people who genuinely care about better, less wasteful hydration.

The ideal candidate has run social for a CPG/DTC brand, is genuinely comfortable on camera and on set, and can show a portfolio of content they personally made: short-form video, carousels, and statics.

You'll own organic social, content creation, and influencer, making content for organic, sourcing creators and contributing to paid campaigns in partnership with our Performance Marketing Manager (who owns paid acquisition itself). Our team is located in DUMBO, Brooklyn with 3 days in office.You'll report to the VP of Marketing and work closely with the cofounders, CX and Performance Marketing.

As Social Media Manager & Content Creator, you'll:

Creative Strategy, Planning & Reporting

  • Own Aerflo's organic content strategy across channels with a focus on Instagram and TikTok, including the content pillars and cadence that define a brand-new brand's voice.
  • Grow our community on Instagram and TikTok from an early base into a deeply engaged audience, turning customers into advocates and creating rituals, formats, and influencer programs that make people feel part of something.
  • Lead execution of the monthly content calendar: brainstorming, editing, caption writing, and post scheduling.
  • Ideate brand collabs and giveaways based on content pillars and key brand moments.
  • Build a monthly reporting structure to share key learnings (follower growth, engagement, saves/shares, reach, community health) with internal stakeholders, and fold those learnings back into strategy.

Content Creation

  • Concept, shoot, and edit social content, including short-form video and copy, that delivers against strategy and brand tone, while being native and engaging on each platform. Fluent in Canva, CapCut, etc.
  • Comfortable on camera and on set as needed, street interviews, in-office content, shoots.
  • Execute brand collabs and giveaways.
  • Partner with freelancers, designers and creative partners to produce assets for use across social as needed.
  • Stretch into creating content for paid social, and assist with ad hoc copywriting across key channels including paid, email, and web.

Influencer & Community Management

  • Own influencer for organic: source, brief, and manage external creators to produce content, and ideate creator collabs.
  • Source creators for paid activations in partnership with the Performance Marketing and Top-of-Funnel leads (whitelisting, Partnership Ads, Spark Ads).
  • Partner with the CX lead to infuse brand tone of voice into community guidelines.
  • Engage with comments and DMs in a way that's on brand, positive, and timely, and treat the community as a relationship, not a queue.
  • Maintain a pulse on trends, pop culture, current events, competitors, and social best practices, identifying opportunities for Aerflo to join the conversation naturally.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years running social for a brand, agency, or as a creator, ideally consumer/CPG/DTC.
  • A portfolio of content you personally made: short-form video, carousels, and statics. Show us the work.
  • Experience growing and engaging a community (bonus if you've scaled one from an early stage).
  • Genuinely excited about sustainability and reducing single-use waste and able to make a mission feel human, not preachy.
  • Comfortable on camera and on set, and comfortable being scrappy when the budget and timeline are tight.
  • Strong instincts for brand voice, your captions and replies sound like a person, not a brand deck.
  • Experience sourcing, briefing, and managing creators or freelancers.
  • Lives in trends, internet culture, and the beverage/CPG conversation, and moves fast.
  • Comfortable with data, and lets analytics change what you do.
  • Exposure to paid social creative or creator whitelisting is a plus.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, early-stage environments with ambiguity.
  • High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ownership.

Compensation will be determined by experience and demonstrated impact. Includes performance bonus, 401(k), and full health benefits.

The anticipated base salary for this role ranges from $70,000–$95,000. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, and experience.
