OVERVIEW
Aerflo is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our Product Development team. In this role, you will take concepts from idea to production, working across design, engineering, prototyping, and validation. You’ll be instrumental in developing first-of-its-kind consumer products that blend performance, sustainability, and beautiful design.

This is a hands-on role that requires in-person collaboration, prototyping, and testing. Candidates must be available to work on-site in our Brooklyn, NY office 5 days a week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop Aerflo’s innovative consumer products, owning the process from concept ideation to production.
- Create detailed CAD models and well-specified engineering drawings (We use OnShape).
- Build and prototype in our in-house manufacturing lab
- Write and execute test plans at the design and production phases
- Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturing partners to ensure quality, cost, and performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, supporting manufacturing, quality, and field reliability efforts.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement solutions for manufacturing, quality, and reliability issues.
ABOUT YOU:
- You have 4-7 years mechanical design experience and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Skilled at designing elegant, efficient, and manufacturable parts using high-volume processes (injection molding, casting, stamping, machining).
- Hands-on – you can prototype your own designs in our well-equipped shop.
- Detail oriented – you enjoy the gritty details of part design, material selection, and manufacturing techniques
- You’re highly proficient with 3D solid modeling & 2D drawing creation that conveys your design intent (We use OnShape)
- You’ve successfully brought a product to market from first prototype to volume production, working with contract manufacturers.
- You evaluate your designs for manufacturability, cost, and complete detailed tolerance analyses.
- You have great attention to engineering detail and an eye for aesthetic design
- You multitask and manage your time wisely when working on multiple projects
- You have strong spoken and written English skills

- Prior experience working with dynamic pressure systems
- Experience with high volume packaging design
- A passion for sustainability and improving the world around us
Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include fully covered health insurance, unlimited paid time off, and company equity.
