Advocate aims to reduce long wait times and bureaucratic obstacles of the current government benefits application process by developing a unified intake system for the Social Security Administration, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, crossed with the knowledge and experience of our small team of EDPNA’s and case managers.
We’re searching for an accomplished and strategic Head of Growth to lead Advocate’s user acquisition and expansion efforts. This is an unparalleled opportunity to join a mission-focused startup, drive significant B2C growth, and help us scale our reach to empower millions. You’ll develop and lead go-to-market strategies for new features, manage growth initiatives, optimize paid media, and champion user engagement. Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Shape and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for new features, subscription offerings, and user segments to drive substantial growth. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless product launches and updates that resonate with our target audiences.
- Growth Strategy and User Acquisition: Drive strategic user acquisition initiatives and craft compelling user journeys that boost engagement and retention. Lead experiments and leverage innovative growth tactics to fuel rapid, scalable user adoption.
- Media Buying & Paid Advertising: Oversee paid media strategy, optimizing performance across Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other channels to maximize ROI. Implement and refine retargeting and lookalike campaigns to improve funnel performance.
- SEO & Content Leadership: Set and pursue ambitious SEO goals, positioning Advocate as a leading authority in benefits access. Direct content creation efforts, including blog posts, guides, and videos, to attract and retain audiences.
- Product Marketing Excellence: Implement highly personalized and segmented campaigns using tools like Braze or Front to enhance user communication. Continuously test, refine, and optimize workflows for greater impact and engagement.
- Innovative Engagement Tools: Spearhead the development of interactive tools (e.g., benefits calculators) that engage users and drive conversions. Integrate data collection features to enhance follow-up marketing capabilities.
- Community Building & Referrals: Design and launch impactful referral programs that foster trust and incentivize user expansion. Engage authentically in forums and communities related to federal benefits to increase brand presence.
- Data Analytics & Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyze KPIs to refine strategies and ensure initiatives are data-driven. Deliver performance reports with insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing growth team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years in senior growth marketing or go-to-market leadership roles within B2C SaaS environments.
- Proven success in scaling user acquisition and surpassing ambitious growth milestones.
- Experience managing media strategies and optimizing advertising budgets for impact.
- Mastery of growth, user engagement, and retention strategies.
- Strong expertise in SEO, content strategy, paid media, and marketing automation tools.
- Proficiency with data and CRM tools, including Google Analytics and Salesforce.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a relentless drive to achieve impactful results.
- Highly adaptable and motivated by fast-paced environments.
- Collaborative leader who thrives on building and inspiring teams.
- Experience in or knowledge of government technology solutions or federal benefits programs.
